If this trip isn’t the biggest bucket list trip ever: the world’s highest navigable lake, the world’s largest salt flats, the highest capital in the world and the driest place on earth. On top of that this trip wouldn’t be an ATAW trip if we didn’t include some cultural highlights as well: an impressive visit to Machu Picchu, a Quechua family welcoming us to their home and cooking a traditional BBQ together and staying at a local families house on Lake Titicaca.

Map showing a travel route through South America, including cities like Cusco, Puno, La Paz, Uyuni, and San Pedro de Atacama, with landmarks Lake Titicaca and Uyuni Salt Flats in Peru, Bolivia, and Chile.
